Weather and Severe Pollution in New Delhi

Pollutants due to Weather Phenomenon: 1. From today 12 to 15/16 Nov, a Western Disturbance (WD) is traversing over J&K and Ladakh regions. Due to this natural weather phenomenon, ground temperatures drop and temperature inversion takes place. Hence all Pollutants will get trapped and increase the pollution levels.  2. Unfortunately New Delhi and Surroundings will get impacted by this weather phenomenon (WDs) for 4 days in a week and this will continue till first half of February 2020. 3. Next cycle of WDs which impacts New Delhi and Surroundings which increases pollution levels will be from: # 20 to 23 Nov 19 # 26 to 30 Nov 19

No.7 Western Disturbances over India

Western Disturbances (WD):  WD is approaching and it will be over J&K and Ladakh from 12 to 15 Nov 19. During this period:- # Snowfall expected over these regions. # Over New Delhi and Surroundings fall in minimum and night temperatures expected.  # Pollution levels will be very high as temperature inversion takes place due to drop in ground temperatures and pollutents gets trapped. Probability of fresh System over Andaman Sea:  # A Tropical Storm Nakri crossed Vietnam coast tonight 10 Nov. # Reminiscences of this storm may emerge over Andaman Sea. # Hence most likely a fresh system may form over Andaman sea between 13 to 16 Nov, due to favourable Sea SurfaceTemperatures.

No. 6(b) System Bulbul in Bay of Bengal: 1.  Severe cyclonic storm which is in Period of Sustenance will maintain its strength. The Relative Vorticity of the system, can be seen upto 200 hpa levels. 2. System will cross near West Bengal and Bangladesh across Sunderbans on 09 Nov 19. System Bulbul: 1. Cyclonic storm Bulbul is moving in NNW direction and it will intensify as it is in the Period of Strengthening till 08 Nov 19 and Period of Sustenance till 12 Nov 19. 2. Later system likely to recurve as it will enter into Westerly winds over North Bay due to passage of  WDs. Western Disturbances: As mentioned in No. 5 (29 Oct 19) @Venukosigi Weatherwise (FB): 3. A fresh WD is seen in satellite imagery and  it will move over J&K and Ladakh from 10 to 14 Nov 19. Snowfall expected due to this WDs. 4. Further over New Delhi and Surroundings, one can feel drop in night/minimum temperatures from 10 Nov. Pollution levels also will be acute due to temperature inversion.
